Shark Cordless Power Hand Vacuum - Factory Serviced Review

(More customer reviews)This would be a fine small cordless vacuum, but it always had held a charge for only a short period (a very big drawback for a cordless vacuum). It also takes a considerable time to recharge and the recharge light does not tell you when it is fully charged, so you just have to guess; a nice annoyance. From my point of view, anything else about it is a mute point.
I've used several similar sized models in the past from Black and Decker and they start out holding a very good charge and then over time the batteries fade out much faster than they should (they are typically good for 6 to 12 months if you are lucky). I find this true for any rechargeable Black and Decker product. So I thought I'd try a Shark- and found out it does not hold much of a charge out of the box.
I don't believe Shark makes this model anymore (a good call if true). In any case, I'd certainly purchase a different model or one made by another manufacturer. I actually don't believe any of the small cordless rechargeable vacuums are any good.

(More customer reviews)The Hoover WindTunnel vacuums use two belts: 1 for the self-propel, and 1 for the brush roll. The belts in this product are ONLY the larger belts that run from the motor to the self-propel. It appears this is the belt that stretches more and is more prone to wearout. My vacuum was smelling like burned rubber prior to installing it. I had almost no self-propel function, and I had to literally push the vacuum around. Upon installation, the Hoover Vacuum started working great. It picked up everything, and vacuuming was again "fun" as it can be.

It worked but I did not have a steamer to use after cleaning with WD40. This left a dirt/grease magnet. A friend brought me a tube of Touvit today. This is UNBELIEVABLE! It took the stains up with very little elbow grease (no pun intended!) I am definitely a fan and will buy more!

The final insult was that the handle broke! When I called Verilux, they told me they didn't think it was very good either!! Save your money and buy another brand of cordless sweeper for $29.95 at Amazon.

(More customer reviews)This is a good carpet cleaner. I can't fault the machine for the initial problems. When I first received this product, I immediately went to work, or tried to. The solution tank was faulty and all the solution leaked out, creating a mess on the floor. I then went online to [...] to order a new tank only to find that the tank I needed was "out of stock", with no indication whatever when I could expect it to be in stock. I had removed all the furniture from my den and it was sitting in the middle of my living room. My frustration level was very high at this point. I then looked for local dealers and found one less than 5 miles from my house. I called and the gentleman there was very helpful. He not only checked his inventory but actually went to locate the part visually before I went to pick it up. He also told me exactly what I needed to take with me in order to get the tank replaced for free. This was practically an all-day deal but I was able to get another tank. It didn't leak, the machine works well and isn't really all that hard to deal with. Yes, the tanks are smaller than the commercial machines and you have to refill and/or empty them a lot but, overall, it's a good residential machine and handy to have around. One hint: When you go to empty the recovery tank, remove the solution tank first. I found out the hard way. You have to lay the handle of the machine down on the floor, which tilts the solution tank and causes it to leak. Maybe this is a no-brainer for some but the instruction booklet failed to mention it and I just followed the directions. Duh!!!!

SHARK STEAM MOP READY TO USE IN 30 SECONDS Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Shark deluxe steam mop a little over 3 months ago, it worked great at first and now after 7 uses the steam barely comes out, not enough to even wet the pad and pumping the handle just makes a messy pool of water on the floor. I called Euro Pro to trouble shoot the problem and could barely understand the rep., he didn't speak very good English! He told me to take the mop apart and send it in for repair. I tried taking it apart while I was on the phone with him and couldn't do so without the thing possibly breaking into pieces. He didn't offer any other suggestions to taking it apart other than- "Get someone else to help you, like your husband". NOT a good thing to say!. Poorly made product, and terrible customer service!

Eureka Pet Lover Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

(More customer reviews)Ordered the "pet lover" mighty mite to replace a mighty mite smart vac that just burned out after 10 years of service.
The unit I received indeed has facilities to attach a hepa filter, but the vacuum exhaust does not all go through the filter. I felt air blowing out near the front of the handle/on-off switch area, so I took the unit apart hoping that a gasket was misaligned or something. Unfortunately, I found that the unit was NOT built in a way so that the exhaust air would be forced through the hepa filter. SOME air goes through the filter, but compared to my old unit, most of it does not.
I then took apart my old unit (with the burned out motor), and confirmed that it indeed WAS designed/built so that the exhaust could only go through the hepa filter. I might have kept the "pet lover" if the shroud used to seal the exhaust of the old unit fit onto the motor of the new unit, but no such luck.
Worse still, is the fact that a lot of people have probably been using the Eureka "pet lover" - falsely thinking they were being protected from spewing micro-particles/allergens/etc... into the air they were breathing.
If you don't care about the hepa filtration, then you might as well save your money and buy one of the non-hepa mighty mites, although I'm not sure how much to trust this company with anything after seeing this.
I'm grateful to Amazon for making this item easy to return, and hope they can pass the shipping/handling charges back to Eureka.
I debated whether to use Amazon's handy links to report unsafe merchandise. I think this product COULD be considered unsafe for someone with asthma or allergies who thinks they're minimizing their exposure to things which could affect their breathing.

(More customer reviews)"Who Done It?" from ProVetLogic got rid of the urine smell that mice and other critters left in my MG that sat idle for a couple of months. It's wasn't just a perfumed cover up. It actually eliminated the smell so that the next day the car smelled like a car again.
They also make a line of pet-friendly products that we use around the farm for cleaning stables and kennel cages.

Black & Decker Bagless Canister Pet Vac Review

(More customer reviews)I did not realize Black & Decker made a full sized plug-in vacuum cleaner so I gave this one a try for our basement. It is beautifully designed and made and really works well. It comes with a whole bunch of attachments (I haven't even used them all). It is powerful but sounds quiet and high quality when turned on. It's easy to empty without getting your hands dirty and feels as well made as the dyson I have. It also has a great cord rewind feature which makes putting it away much easier than the dyson.
I definitely recommend it, especially for those looking for a high quality canister type vacuum cleaner.
