As I do custom cleaning, both residenial and non residential, this machine has excellent suction, is not too loud, and is not too heavy to move in and out my van. (I do not need the tools as I also use a back pack vacuum--especially on bare floors). Although my last one is only 2 yrs. old I wanted a new one to use in places where there are no pets.
