They will transform your carpet from a depressing situation to like-new again. I don't usually use the anti-foam solution. I just use a tiny splash of the cleaning solution in the water to keep the foam to a minimum. It usually takes multiple passes on high-traffic areas, but it's worth it. Here's a tip: you can use a small squirt dishwasher soap as an anti-foam - it's the same thing chemically.
