(More customer reviews)I bought this vacuum earlier this year... This is the top of the line Hoover Bag type vacuum. I absolutely love it. I don't think you can find a better vacuum for anywhere near the price. Un-remanufactured, these sell for $250-$300. As far as I can tell it is exactly the same as the Model U6439-900 that is shown on Hoover's website.
Before I ordered it, I was a little skeptical of the "remanufactured" aspect. I was worried that the vacuum would be dirty or scratched up. The one I received looked as if it was brand new! There was no evidence it had ever been used.
This vacuum has outstanding suction. It includes the "dirt sensor" which tells you if there is any dirt being picked up. I first thought that this was a gimick, but it really does work. The vacuum also includes the powered hand tool which has its own rotating brush. One nice feature is that you can turn the main powered brush off when vacuuming hard floors. You can't turn off the powered brush on most cheap vacuums. The self propelled feature really works well on hard floors and short pile carpets.
The only negative comment I can give this vacuum is that the hose is too short to reach very far away from the machine when using the hand tools. Hoover makes an extension hose that I will probably have to buy.
