Didi Seven (Didi 7) Ultra Universal Stain Remover (2 oz tube) Review

Didi Seven (Didi 7) Ultra Universal Stain Remover (2 oz tube)
Average Reviews:

Well.... yes I would be careful with this product and not use it indiscriminately. Think about what you are using it on and if it is possible to take the color from the garment while you are removing the stain! I have used this for about 10 years or more since a friend told me about it. I use it for those impossible stains to remove. And, usually it works. If it doesn't, then I would be throwing the garment out anyway. What do I have to lose? I may save one of my cherished garments by carefully using DiDi7! And, usually I do save the garment.
I'm ordering another tube.
BTW - I use an old toothbrush to put the product on the garment and then add water. Brush lightly.... and wait... sometimes leaving the garment for several hours. I have never had a garment develop holes... or fade in color although I must admit I usually do this with very light-colored garments. I would not put this on a dark cloth as I'm sure it would fade the color at a minimum and might remove the color.
I'm ordering another tube!

Electrolux EL6989A Oxygen Ultra Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

Electrolux EL6989A Oxygen Ultra Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Listen, maybe because I am a man, and in our society men have been stereotyped as helpless boobs who couldn't make a bowl of cereal without the help of a wife/mom/fairy godmother, I should be not the person to review this product. But since my wife likes this vacuum, and because as such I cannot smash into a million pieces with a fungo bat, I have to write this review to get even the Electrolux Oxygen Ultra, an object that is now my sworn enemy, from now until the end of eternity.
I hate this vacuum. Every moment I use it is a chance to ruminate on how much I hate it. Seriously. I vacuum around the house saying to myself, "I hate this vacuum. You know what? This is a really terrible vacuum. I don't think I like this vacuum. Oh wait, did I just suck up the dog?"
It was clearly designed by someone rich enough to never have to use it. Let's start with the basic setup. The main body of the vacuum is something you drag behind you as you go from room to room. This would be a great thing if the house you're vacuuming happens to be empty. And maybe in Sweden or Switzerland or wherever they designed this godawful piece of garbage, that's all the rage now. But if you're someone who happens to have furnished their house with things like chairs and tables (and even the occasional ottoman), this means the Electrolux is constantly getting stopped by whatever objects you had the audacity to place in its way. With an upright vacuum, you don't have to drag anything. But you have to constantly drag the Electrolux everywhere you want to go. I'd like to drag it behind a truck going 150 mph, but that's about it.
Then there's the main, carpet-cleaning attachment of the Electrolux. I hate this attachment. First off, the attachment allows the main handle from the vacuum to be turned to the right, and to the right only. I even checked it for an hour just to make sure I hadn't made a mistake. Nope. This is the only way the attachment turns on the handle. Why? Who knows? Probably just to annoy me, because I paid $600 for the stupid thing. Oh sure, I can turn my hand and vacuum my carpet Gangsta-style now, but otherwise this is the kind of design flaw that makes you want to drive your Honda through Bed Bath & Beyond, just to get even.
And, if anything, this attachment sucks too hard. Like that fringe on your oriental rug? Sorry, the Electrolux thought that was lunch! But every rug could use a good shearing now and then. Also, the motor in the attachment spins so hard it makes controlling the thing darn near impossible. But hey, at least you can turn the handle to the right.
Did I mention that you can only get bags for the Ultra through Electrolux, and that the bags have to be shipped to you? I didn't? Don't worry, no one told me either.
The other attachments aren't so hot either. The attachment we use to vacuum the hardwood floor is stiff and cumbersome. And the coiling tube that goes to the main handle is almost always, without fail, twisted up in an awkward fashion.
Listen, I'm a simple guy. This is clearly what I get for being dumb enough to buy a $600 vacuum. I'm sure the Electrolux has the sucking power of 1,000 Kevin Federlines, and can filter out all the potential carcinogens and death spores I've been told pollute our air. But this isn't rocket science. It's a vacuum. You know why I vacuum? So that stuff looks like it's been vacuumed. That's all. Basic house vacuuming can be easily accomplished with any $100 Hoover out there. You can probably get one at a yard sale. Or maybe you can get my Electrolux at our next yard sale. If I'm sneaky enough, the wife won't notice.
I hate this vacuum.

Exceptional performance, modern design, and brilliant color combine in this simple-to-use canister vacuum cleaner. The unit's power head offers a separate motor that drives it and a low profile for easy access under nearly any kind of furniture. Quickly switch between carpets and hard-floor surfaces using fingertip controls on the handle--no need to bend and stoop to get the perfect kind of clean. Also, its quick-release wand system helps with specialty above-the-floor cleaning such as drapery and furniture. Premium accessories include a hard-floor tool, a turbo nozzle for stairs and rugs, its power head for carpets, and on-board tools for above-the-floor cleaning, which consist of an upholstery brush, a dusting brush, a crevice tool, and a caddy.
In addition, the vacuum provides the freshest, cleanest house possible with its long-life washable HEPA H13 filtration system, which makes the air coming out even cleaner than the air going in. Its superior filtration system captures 99.97-percent of dust and allergens as small as 0.3 microns. Plus, it uses the new auto-close system of the Electrolux s-bag Clinic, which prevents dust from escaping when changing the 2-quart-capacity bag. H2O Coral Steam Mop Pad Review

H2O Coral Steam Mop Pad
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased these for a Steamboy steam mop to replace the standard microfiber pads that come with it. These are much sturdier, holding up better than the original pads that tend to pull apart at the seams. I also think that the longer fibers clean better getting into grout and corners far better than the standard ones. My primary complaint is that both versions have a poor fastening system and tend to pull off the steam mop while using it. It would be nice if the manufacturer would design a better closure system that would hold onto the head of the mop. I would have given this a four star review if the design was better. Unfortunately, I have not found any other steam mop pads that fit better so there is not much choice.

Sebo X5 Upright Vacuum Cleaners Review

Sebo X5 Upright Vacuum Cleaners
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love this vacuum! I went into a local vacuum shop to purchase a different brand, but after testing this vacuum, I was immediately sold. This vacuum has renewed my faith that someone still cares about manufacturing quality products. Shop around; my local SEBO dealer had a much lower price than what I've seen on the internet. Here are the pros and cons:
PROS (in no specific order)
1. Effortless to use. It glides across my carpets and floors with ease.
2. Relatively quiet. I can have a conversation while using it.
3. Very low profile. Less than 5 and one-half inches tall when the handle is lowered.
4. Superior durability and reliability. These machines rarely need service.
6. Simple, compact and elegant design.
7. Bags hold lots of dust and are very easy to change.
8. Top-notch HEPA filtration system. Acts like an air filter when cleaning.
9. Very long cord (about 40 feet).
10. Powerful motor.
11. Superb cleaning power. Head automatically (and undetectably) raises and lowers to match the height of the floor surface.
12. Traps (doesn't scatter) debris when cleaning hard floors.
13. Well-written, concise user manual.
14. Belts designed to last a lifetime.
CONS
1. Stair attachment sold separately.
2. Not manufactured in the USA.

Dyson DC18 Slim All-Floors Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Dyson DC18 Slim All-Floors Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Vacuums often disappoint. They're either unwieldy in size, take too much work to change out longer hoses or put on attachments, etc., need costly bags, or they're heavy or take up too much storage space. And, lastly, they frequently don't live up to performance standards. Well, the Dyson Slim delivers in all but one small category.
As the Cleaning Editor for BellaOnline, I look at cleaning equipment with a serious eye. The first thing I noticed about my Dyson Slim is that performance-wise, it delivers, pulling up cup-full after cup-full of hair, dust, and everything else you find in carpets -- even the ones I had just vacuumed with my regular vacuum (I had to perform a quick "quality assurance" test).
The Dyson Slim also delivers in several other categories, such as storage (it takes 1/3 less space than a regular vacuum), and ease of use. It has the "flick of the wrist" action of the Dyson Ball without the massive weight of the Dyson Ball. This is important to me because I broke my wrist last year and had neck surgery in February. I need a vacuum that I don't have to muscle around the house and that torques my wrist and lower back.
Another spot where it delivers is the size of the vacuum head. It's not as wide as regular vacuums and I was reluctant to buy it because a wider head means more coverage; or so I thought. Actually, the shorter vacuum head, combined with the low profile, means the vacuum gets into very small spaces and underneath sofa skirts, etc., easily and more proficiently than a standard-sized vacuum, helping you to vacuum more quickly and with greater agility.
Where didn't it perform? The attachment heads were a disappointment. There's not a good-sized brush or wide head attachment. The attachments seemed a little cheap and overlooked -- with one exception. The crevice tool/brush combination it comes with is absolutely perfect for vacuuming baseboards (Halleluiah!). But, I also find that I need a nice-sized brush for areas like wood shutters and a wide head attachment to do places such as stairs and tiled areas. However, you can always buy the Dyson wide attachment ($50) and brush separately. Or, I just bought the Kenmore brand attachments that fit the Dyson perfectly. The wide head was only $9.99 -- and it fits in the slot for the Dyson attachments on the vacuum body.
For a vacuum that's easy to maneuver, easy to clean and maintain, takes up less space and gives all the power of a regular-sized Dyson vacuum, the Dyson Slim is a hands-down winner. The only drawback in my mind (better attachments) was no problem because I found an inexpensive work-around. Besides, I'd rather have an easy-to-use vacuum that works well and has chintzy attachments than great attachments on a so-so vacuum. I'd recommend this vacuum to anyone, especially if you want all the power at half the size.

Delivering 200 air watts of suction power, Dyson's Slim upright vacuum cleaner features advanced Root Cyclone technology to ensure no loss of suction. Dyson proves no loss of suction using the IEC 60312 Cl 2.9 test standard. Designed for all floor types, the unit's motorized brushbar can be turned on to remove dirt and pet hair from carpets, or turned off to protect rugs and delicate floors. It also comes equipped with a quick-draw Telescope Reach, which extends instantly for stairs and high-reach cleaning. Thanks to the vacuum's money-saving, lifetime HEPA filter, air expelled from the unit contains up to 150 times less mold and bacteria than common breathing air. Thoughtfully designed, the unit's hygienic 4/9-gallon bin empties without ever having to touch the dust--simply push the button. Furthermore, Dyson upright vacuums are the first and only vacuums certified asthma friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation. Other highlights include a 25-foot cord, a lightweight design at 15-4/5 pounds, and effortless steering for simple maneuverability and cleaning in tight spaces. The vacuum cleaner measures 16-1/3 by 12 by 43-2/3 inches and carries a five-year warranty.

Gallon Get Serious Review

Gallon Get Serious
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My veterinarian recommended Get Serious about a year ago, and I have never been so pleased with a pet stain remover. The product is safe and very effective; it normally gets stains of all varieties out the first time (although bile-colored cat vomit on white carpet may take two passes), and has not harmed any of the materials that I have seen it used on.
I have tried almost every pet stain remover on the market and this is by far the best I have ever used. As for odor removal, it seems effective (I certainly can't smell any remnants of the offending material after treatment), but remember that cats and dogs can smell much better than we can, so I hesitate to claim that all traces of odors are removed. What I can say is that after treatment all stains and humanly detectable odors are gone, and I have predominantly white carpet in the house, which provides a tough testing ground.
This product is not the cheapest on the market, but I recommend it highly for versatility and effectiveness: as far as I'm concerned it is unsurpassed.

Eureka Company Pet Lover Upright 3276AZ Review

Eureka Company Pet Lover Upright 3276AZ
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I owned this vacuum for about a year . . .except mine was yellow. It cost less than the part to fix my Kenmore, so I bought it. What a nightmare!
First off . . . it DOES pick things up off of the carpet IF all of the planets are aligned correctly. This means you have to:
-Clean the sponge filter every time
-Pull out the plastic filter and take out all of the hair that is clogging it
-Make sure the hose isn't clogged behind the plastic filter
-Make sure the hose remains connected at the end (it slips out)
-Empty the dirt cup
When ALL of things are done, the vacuum will work. You have to do any combination of these things several times to make one pass through a medium sized house. Of course, most of those steps generate a cloud of dust you then have to clean up.
The pet attachment is a joke. It just does not work. The telescoping duster IS a handy feature, but it doesn't really get clean the way it is supposed to. You're better off cleaning it with the hose. What finally killed this vacuum is that the roller brush locked up. It just refused to turn and filled the house with burnt-belt smell. I couldn't even loosen it with vice grips.
After a long, painful year of fighting with this thing, I just ordered the replacement part for my Kenmore and happily trashed the Eureka.

I was replacing the same model vacuum I already own that had a broken part but I didn't realize that I was ordering a re-manufactured vacuum. I am not sure if I just missed that in the description or it was never noted.
The motor is louder and does not sound like it should and it has a filter warning light that won't shut off no matter how well I clean the filters.
I would not recommend buying any re-manufactured product to anyone.

I could not do laundry successfully without this product! My husband constantly gets greasy food spots on the fronts of his shirts.......(makes him sound like a dribbler which he isn't). When he cooks he gets splattered by food, other times the spots come from spills. K2r works like magic. I spray the spot, let it dry and then wash it. The spot is completely gone after the laundry cycle. I used to be able to buy it in the supermarket but now get it online. Thank goodness they still make it!

Miele S184 Upright Vacuum - Powerhouse Vacuum Cleaner - White Review

Miele S184 Upright Vacuum - Powerhouse Vacuum Cleaner - White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I would like to help spare someone my frustration. First, this is a good vac. No it's not Miele's top of the line $900 - it's a little louder than I wanted, and initially seems kind of cheap and lightweight. But if you are sick and tired of pushing and lugging a heavy upright, this is the vac you want. It is small, compact, and can be lifted easily with one arm at about 14 lbs. The plastic seems high quality, a metallic flake blue. Says on the box it is made in the USA. My quest was to find an upright that could switch from pretty plush thick carpet, to hardwood floors. My heavy old Eureka worked OK on the hardwood, as it sat high, and therefore the brush roller never contacted the floor, thus avoiding damage. Unfortunately this isn't the case with this Miele. When the brush roller bar is activated, it definitely sits very low and contacts the hard floor. So Miele has an on-off switch for the roller to remedy this problem. Trouble is, there is really not much suction when the roller is turned off, just a wee bit, more on the right side. So I guess I go back to sweeping the hard floors. I had read that canister vacs are really the way to go for houses with both carpet and hard floor. But most canisters work best on thinner carpet. For thick carpet, you are advised to get powerhead canisters (heavier brush roller), but wow, the cost runs up there for Mieles, etc. So I went with this upright Miele because it was a bargain. I was told by a vac guy that Miele is discontinuing the line and staying with their high end vacs. This Miele is a dream to push on carpet--so smooth and light. It has so much suction that it does suck up smaller area rugs of 3X4, but those can go in the wash. The 184 model does have a power adjustment switch to lower the suction. Overall I am happy with it. The Hepa exhaust air seems very pure - no smell at all compared to the old uprights we all grew up with. I read that most cheap US made Hepas are false Hepas because the vacs aren't properly sealed. I trust Miele. It also comes with a thick high quality filter bag.

The BEST odor remover I have ever found. I have been using this product for at least 7 years. Occasionaly I have tried other products with even bigger claims, but always keep ZORBX on hand because I can rely on it. It always gets rid of that 'wet dog' odor, and even helped with a gasoline spill on the back floor mat in my car. The BEST of all is when our neighborhood 'Peppy la Peu' runs into one of the neighborhood cats in my back yard at 2:30 in the morning. The smell always wakes me up, and the ZORBX lets me get back to sleep. Hope you will enjoy it as well.

Lindhaus Activa 30 Domestic 12" Red Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Lindhaus Activa 30 Domestic 12 Red Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have owned this vacuum for a couple of years now. Although it's expensive and not "fancy", we purchased it because our previous machines were never satisfactory. They either blew dirt back out the exhaust, were super noisy and/or heavy, and the cake was taken when a relatively new but just-out-of warranty machine needed repair and could not be fixed. The Lindhaus is very lightweight and easy to manuver, very quiet so others are not disturbed and children and pets are not afraid of the noise. It does not have a "headlight", but does have an indicator light that goes on when the bag is full and needs to be changed. It's easy to change the bag. The machine is repairable and though I have never needed this service, there are several vacuum stores in my area that can handle this brand. The only downside, I would say, is the bags seem a little more expensive, but I should add that I have not priced the bags of other brands lately. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable machine and isn't overly impressed with bells, whistles and doo-dads.

Royal RY7300 Protégé Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Royal RY7300 Protégé Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Initially, I was not familiar with the Royal brand of vacuum cleaners. I did a little research and found that Royal is a high-end brand name. Upon receipt of the box I opened the package to find 3 simple pieces. The main unit (motor, bag area, etc,) a hose and [finally] the handle.
The assembly took less than 5 minutes and was completed using 3 screws to secure the handle unit to the main unit.
The bottom of the motor unit is all metal and quite sturdy. The handle is metal sturdy and secure feeling as well.
Turning on the unit you immediately feel the strong suction from the rather quiet motor. Once you release the head to start vacuum you feel a firm (but controllable) movement forward as the brush goes to work vibrating and brushing the carpet.
One immediate observation from when I started vacuuming was that I was 'hearing' a LOT of dirt and 'stuff' being sucked into the bag (far more than with my aging Eureka.)
The first thing I wanted to test was the auto-matic brush adjustment. I have never really liked auto brush/height adjustment because I pretty much always like mine set on low. The auto adjustment on the Dyson is what made be return it (promptly) because it was horrible. However, in the case of the Royal Protege' 7300 I was pleasantly surprised at the auto adjustment from thick carpet to wood back to thick carpet.
Overall, at $99 for a $500 vacuum this is an awesome deal on an excellent vacuum. I would have paid more for this unit but not $500. If you're looking for a great vacuum deal you can't beat this one (unless it's free.)

Powered by a 12-amp motor, the Royal Protégé provides plenty of muscle for removing even ground-in dirt from carpets or floors. The 15-inch-wide nozzle covers a greater area, shortening tedious cleaning time, while HEPA-type filtration captures 99.9% of dust and allergens, making this model a great choice for asthma sufferers. The RapidReach hose extends the user's grasp and eases access to awkward spots such as underneath furniture or beds, while a complete suite of onboard tools further extends the Protégé's cleaning abilities, including a crevice tool, upholstery tool, dust brush, and telescopic wand to clean ceilings, baseboards, couches, and more. The 35-foot power cord lets users clean even large single rooms without having to unplug and replug, and the rubber wheels won't mark hardwood floors. The vacuum's solid construction features a metal brushroll and metal plate for improved durability, and the bypass motor system means even large pieces of debris won't burn out the motor or fan. Additional features include a full bag indicator, a brilliant headlight for illuminating dark corners and crevices, automatic height adjustment, and a sturdy metal handle with comfort grip. The Royal Protégé RY7300 weighs 24 pounds for shipping and is covered by a four-year warranty.
