(More customer reviews)I've used HOST for over 20 years, both professionally applied by a carpet cleaner and in this do-it-yourself version. It's been great for my carpets and the benefit is it that it doesn't leave your carpets wet.
Recently I bought an expensive sisal rug. Sisal cannot be cleaned with any water as it will shrink and distort the shape as well as discolor. I've got two big dogs and HOST has been a miracle worker on this sisal rug. From dog urine to dog vomit this stuff has cleaned it all with no trace of what had happened left behind and no damage to the sisal. I will always have a tub of HOST around for accidents!

(More customer reviews)I've using this carpet cleaner for the past 15 years. It is easy to use, dries in 2 hours, and leaves the carpet clean and smelling very nice. I have a light sand color carpet. I use only a broom brush to sweep the cleaner into the carpet and then vacuum when dried. Too save $$, I buy the 12 lb box, and have enough cleaner for 2 years. I only use half box for yearly cleaning. Be sure to seal the unused portion tightly. Buying the cleaner with amazon.com was $10 cheaper than getting it at my near by distributor.
Finally, I received the cleaner on time from the seller.

(More customer reviews)Recently used this kit rather than our steam cleaner, which does a great job, due to time constraints. Was very pleased. It took me about an hour to do our large living room and stairs, compared to three hours plus drying time for the steam cleaner. The results were almost (80-90%) as good. Want to add that you need a good vacuum. I tried this product some years ago and had poor results because my old vacuum just couldn't remove all of the powder.

(More customer reviews)I have struggled for years trying to find a good carpet cleaner. I've never been a fan of "wet" solutions. Using these types of products, I found more often than not, the stain would resurface after the carpet dried. I also believe the wet solutions damaged the carpet. For years, I used the Chem Dry professional service - and although I was happy with their results, I wanted something I could do myself during those times when I only needed a small section of the carpet cleaned. Capture Deep Cleaning Powder was the answer. I found it easy to use and was very pleased with the results. I eventually replaced the Chem Dry service with Capture. I'm saving money, and my carpets look great - and yes, it requires a little extra elbow grease, but I'm okay with the tradeoff.
