That Orange Stuff 16 oz. Review

That Orange Stuff 16 oz.
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently bought and used this cleaner and was really impressed with how well it did. It's a concentrate, so once it's diluted, the price is very inexpensive. I was surprised at how many different jobs it did around the house! I was planning on just cleaning the sinks and ended up unclogging drains, cleaning the toilets and mirrors. It can also be used in carpet cleaners, so I'm planning on trying that next. I also read that it fixes squeaky hinges. I like that it's an organic product but at the same time gets the job done well. So many organic products I've tried in the past did not work as well as the regular cleaners. Plus, this cleaner has such a nice, light scent that I don't have to air out the room when I'm done. All in all, I was very impressed and ordered two more bottles!

Woolite Pet Stain Review

Woolite Pet Stain
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have this in the smaller size. Its not a perfect solution, and I actually prefer Vinegar and Baking soda. I wasn't initially following the instructions exactly, but we all live and learn. I now have my stain treatment in order.
Note: it is very important to pre test on fabric. I was tired and forgot, needed immediate cleaning of sofa. Usually, repeated treatment with Vinegar and Baking Soda would have worked, but used same treatment as carpet. Part of sofa now different color. However, it is old sofa, and is covered with nice kitty throw.
One of my cats occasionally pukes. Its usually a long lasting stain. I used this immediately, as directed - and the puke is gone. Scoop up excess and any debris on floor (paper towels and extra store plastic bag come in handy). Spray and leave on 3 to 5 minutes. Have bucket of warm water ready. Use dust rag/old dish towel to rinse off spray (important - because I wasn't doing this part, carpet had residue and kitty skin was reacting). Switch from dust rag to sponge, try to sop up moisture while rinsing. Follow up with 100% White Vinegar Spray, continue with sponge to wipe deep into carpet (this removes germs, mildew - and provides other cleaning for carpet besides stain removal). Cover with towel until dry. Next day, use towel for wipe up with Hydrogen Peroxide if desired - added benefit.
It gets 4 stars, because cat smell in carpet requires a bit more (and it doesn't clean down deep, sorta masks odors). I've ordered the Bissell QuickSteamer Multi-Surface Upright Deep Cleaner, 2090 to supplement, and use this as a pretreatment as I go throughout the apartment.
All in all, 4 stars for what it does do (at least, some sanitation has been realized).

Magic American GGHS12 Goo Gone Spray Gel Review

Magic American GGHS12 Goo Gone Spray Gel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently bought some flatware from Amazon (a kind with colored plastic on the handles), and it turned out that each piece had a bar code sticker on the handle. They peeled off okay, but left a sticky residue that I could not remove with hot water and soap. I emailed the manufacturer (Ginkgo) and they emailed right back with an apology and the suggestion that I try a product called Goo Gone, which they said they use in their warehouse.
I found some Goo Gone at Office Depot and it worked great. I buy a lot of used CDs and books online and often they have stickers or sticker residue on them (the worst are CDs that were once part of a library collection; stickers all over the place!). Before learning about Goo Gone I tried everything to get the stickers and sticker residue off used CD cases and book covers: elbow grease, fingernails, razors, WD40, rubbing alcohol, toothpaste (an idea I picked up somewhere on the web), you name it. (An Onkyo stereo receiver I recently bought had stickers on it, and I could not get the residue off no matter how I tried, but that was before I discovered Goo Gone.) Goo Gone makes removing sticker residue a snap. I always have some WD40 on hand (for everything from hard to open windows, nuts that are hard to turn, squeaky doors and cabinets, rust prevention, etc.), and now that I know about Goo Gone, I will always keep some of that on hand too.

Desolv It Citrus Solution 12 oz Review

Desolv It Citrus Solution 12 oz
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
De-Solv-It by Orange Sol removes sticky-icky stuff from surfaces, hair, skin, and clothing with relative ease. Gooey residue that would otherwise take a lot of time and elbow grease, if it could be removed at all, disappears with De-Solv-It and minimal scrubbing. I use it mostly to remove stickers, but it's also great for sap, gum, and any kind of adhesive residue. It works well to remove stickers from books and book jackets as long as the jacket is slick, not porous. I spray a little De-Solv-It on a paper towel and apply to the sticky scum. I wouldn't spray De-Solv-It directly onto paper, even if its coated, because De-Solv-It is oily and will stain paper if it's allowed to soak in.
Orange Solvent, the predecessor to De-Solv-It, was created in 1932 by Edwin L. Ackerman after he accidentally discovered that orange juice would remove stubborn dental impression cement from his hands. Thus citrus-based cleaners were born. Orange Sol claims that De-Solv-It works well on most kinds of stains, not just sticky stuff, including protein stains, grease, and food. I haven't tried it on food stains, as my normal laundry spot spray works on those. Ouixtar's (Amway) Tri-Zyme is hands-down the best thing on protein stains, including very old stains. De-Solv-It probably is good on grease. It was popular with people who worked on the Exxon Valdese oil spill in Alaska.
De-Solv-It is unfortunately no longer available in a squirt bottle. It comes in a 12.6 fl.oz. spray bottle. This is fine for those using it to treat laundry or large areas, but I have to spray it onto a paper towel to use it on a small area. And I really don't want this stuff to spray all over the place. There is a warning on the back of the bottle against using it on carpet backing, acrylic, some plastics, uncoated paper, suede & leather, silk, elastic, and khaki-colored fabric. But just a droplet of De-Solv-It will ruin modern furniture finishes, the kind that are applied by the manufacturer in either matte or glossy. So keep the spray bottle clear of any furnishings or wood decor that has a permanent finish.
De-Solv-It is biodegradable and emits no toxic fumes, so this is an environmentally-friendly and human-friendly product. It has a light citrus scent. Essential citrus oils, vitamin E, aloe vera, and organic wetting agents are among the ingredients. It contains no water, so this is not a diluted cleaner, and there is never any need to dilute it. You can set the nozzle to "spray", "stream", or "off". The packaging and inadequate warnings are my only reservation. Keeping that in mind, De-Solv-It makes quick work of sticky stuff.

Resolve High Traffic Foam, 22-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12) Review

Resolve High Traffic Foam, 22-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)
Average Reviews:

I bought this stuff because of a commercial I saw...I looked it up here cause I'm a big believer in customer reviews. I didn't see a bad one so I decided to give it a try. We have a couple of dogs and cats, and as great as they are they aren't accident free...whether it knocking something over or getting sick, my carpet has definitely seen better days!
I'm in the process of using right now and I can already see a big difference!! I'm using a cleaning brush instead of a mop just so I can make sure I get the stains out and I really don't have to scrub that much! This stuff is great! It doesn't leave that soaked carpet that doesn't completely dry. I can tell that my husband is even impressed even though he won't come out and say it : )
I am very happy and would definitely recommend it!

Spot Shot Professional Carpet Stain Remover 18oz Review

Spot Shot Professional Carpet Stain Remover 18oz
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My wife and I had about 12-15 really tough pet stains that were about a year old from our Mini-pinscher. We tried 4 other carpet cleaners that could not remove the stains. We rented a steamer which could not remove the stains. We then hired professional cleaners to come out and they could not remove the stains. We started to look at new carpet, thinking there was nothing else we could do (the stains were really really bad and right in our living room). THANKFULLY, I stumbled across spot shot at Sams Club and figured "what's another $10 at this point?" I was AMAZED when it got every bit of stain out of our carpet. Saved us $1,000's! If you are considering this product for pet stains - do not hesitate - it works GREAT!

Church & Dwight 30Oz Pet Carpeliminator 11519 Household Cleaners Carpet & Rug Review

Church and Dwight 30Oz Pet Carpeliminator 11519 Household Cleaners Carpet and Rug
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We have 2 dogs and usually nobody that comes into our house can tell but lately they have been acting "bad". So we have been looking for something to cover the smell up and we tried several carpet deodarizers, sprays and powders. I came across this stuff in the dollar store on sale at the time and decided to try it knowing that arm and hammer works well with eliminating odors, and it worked great! Although it is very powerfull it smells great and our dogs had no problems with it I will definitely be buying it again!

Host Dry Carpet Cleaner Shaker Pack (C12103) Review

Host Dry Carpet Cleaner Shaker Pack (C12103)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've used HOST for over 20 years, both professionally applied by a carpet cleaner and in this do-it-yourself version. It's been great for my carpets and the benefit is it that it doesn't leave your carpets wet.
Recently I bought an expensive sisal rug. Sisal cannot be cleaned with any water as it will shrink and distort the shape as well as discolor. I've got two big dogs and HOST has been a miracle worker on this sisal rug. From dog urine to dog vomit this stuff has cleaned it all with no trace of what had happened left behind and no damage to the sisal. I will always have a tub of HOST around for accidents!

Racine Ind. 4HB Host Dry Carpet Cleaner Review

Racine Ind. 4HB Host Dry Carpet Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've using this carpet cleaner for the past 15 years. It is easy to use, dries in 2 hours, and leaves the carpet clean and smelling very nice. I have a light sand color carpet. I use only a broom brush to sweep the cleaner into the carpet and then vacuum when dried. Too save $$, I buy the 12 lb box, and have enough cleaner for 2 years. I only use half box for yearly cleaning. Be sure to seal the unused portion tightly. Buying the cleaner with amazon.com was $10 cheaper than getting it at my near by distributor.
Finally, I received the cleaner on time from the seller.

RESOLVE Deep Clean Powder: 18 OZ Review

RESOLVE Deep Clean Powder: 18 OZ
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I saw the commercial and went looking for the product almost immediately. I have Berber(sp) carpet that's chocolate brown with lighter colors. Local popular grocery store, out of stock. Target, nowhere to be found. Finally, I found it at WalMart. A plus is that it came with a coupon for a rebate of your purchase price. LOTS of work. Package says for 8X10 room, not on commercial. Should at least say for smaller spaces. There's a four step process. First you shake vigorously to break up the powder. It's recommended that you only spray about 2X8 spaces at a time. Next, you HAVE to brush it into and out of the carpeting. The directions state to brush out stains. Again, not stated in the commercial. That's the harder, unexpected work. Next you wait for 20 minutes. NOW it's time to vacuum. It's also recommended to have a new bag in your vacuum or a cleaned vacuum for a bagless. This part is why I didn't give it 5 stars. It took forever to get this stuff outta the carpet. Over and over again and I used a small handheld in some spots and an upright. At the very end, I had to open the window because the powder began to fly up. Some has landed on the furniture, thank God it's leather for easy clean up. I think for the trouble I went through, I'd much rather just pay to get the carpet professionally cleaned. I think this product is best used on small stains or very small rooms with NO furniture. :) Good Luck. I think I'll pass on future purchases. Concept too good to be true.
