(More customer reviews)This vacuum is, without a doubt, the best vacuum I have ever used! I had been searching for the perfect vacuum to suit my needs (every room in my home except the kitchen and bathroom has high pile carpeting); I also did not want to pay a small fortune. I found exactly what I was looking for in this vacuum. Please be aware though, that this is not a vacuum for everyone. 1)It is no lightweight, weighing in at 18lbs. (Who needs to lift weights? lol) 2)It has a shake out cloth bag (This is a BIG plus for me-- I dislike vacs with cups as I find they fill up too quickly in my large home, and I have always had a really hard time finding the right size paper bag for any other vac). 3)It has no attachments (easily remedied with the purchase of an inexpensive canister for edge cleaning and quick jobs). 4)It has a 50 foot power cord-- I LOVE being able to vacuuum most of the house without having change the plug! (though it takes a bit longer to wind up the cord). 5)Overall this vacuum is designed to do ONE job really well-- CLEAN CARPETS. (ie, don't try to clean hardwood or tile with it, but, for me, that is what my broom is for). No other vacuum I have ever used has worked this well (I have been trying friends' and family's for quite a while now, trying to figure out what I want, but now I think I'll stick with vacuuming my own house). Even my neighbor has commented on how much better my carpets look and feel. This is one powerful vacuum!

(More customer reviews)The vaccum has good suction, only if you empty the filter constantly and clean the hepa Filter out by knocking the dust out of it and brushing it every time you empty the filter, otherwise you lose suction.
the attachment hose/tool works good and is easier to use than the Dysons attachment tool. I know I will have to replace the hepa Filter soon, because it gets harder to clean each time. Other than that, for the price it is good.

Bissell Zing Canister Bagless Vacuum, 10M2 Review

(More customer reviews)I'll start by saying this vacuum is NOT for carpets, period. It doesn't have any kind of beater bar and doesn't glide over carpet at all. I got this to do quick post-toddler dinner clean ups. The vacuum unit itself has a good design and plenty of suction. It is lightweight and would be great to carry around using the hose itself to clean nooks and crannies, but this ability is limited to nooks and crannies since it is blatantly missing a drapery or upholstery attachment. After going across my hardwood floors it sucked up quite a bit of dirt and lint & I didn't think my floors were that dirty. My complaint is that the floor attachment needs to be redesigned, which is too bad because it's primarily why I bought this unit. The part that slides accross the floor is maybe 8 inches wide or so, but really only the middle maybe 2 inches has a hole for suction. The rest of it doesn't, well, suck. There's not even an opening for it. I'm not sure why the thing is even 8 inches wide, it could just be 2 inches or so and accomplish the same task. So, as I attacked piles of crumbs and cheerios with it, only the middle of the pile would be picked up, very frustrating. It is just as loud, if not louder than any other vacuum with a sharper noise than most.

UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO COMMENTS: While it is true that canister and stick vacs only have the center hole, the problem with this is that it only cleans at that point. I have another vac with similar design that has the same center hole and the chambers that go out to the sides. It cleans the entire width of the head. Thus the problem with this.
Note that in my review I based my review on HARDWOOD FLOOR USE. NOT carpet. I stated that so that anyone who was thinking about it would think about something different. Also, I am not comparing this to an upright. My intentions were correctly placed in my trial of this vacuum. I wanted it for quick clean up, on hardwood floors, after my toddlers ate dinner. My intention was never to compare this to an upright... I have a Kirby for those jobs.
For this reason, I stand by everything I say in my original review. The head does not work well, even compared to similar vacs.

SC3683A Commercial Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

(More customer reviews)This vacuum was one of the first purchases we made when we started our janitorial company three years ago. It has been money well spent! I only gave it 4 stars because there are 2 things that I would have changed on the design and they are really more annoyances than defects. The first one is I would add an automatic winding reel for the cord. It's a real pain to have to wind it up after each use to transport. The other thing I'd change is on the floor tool. We use it a lot on bare floors. Another model we have has 2 small wheels on the bottom of the floor tool that helps it ride more smoothly on the surface.
For a small vacuum it has a lot of suction and the telescoping wand is a great idea! Just push or pull on the handle while holding the locking mechanism and voila!
Changing the bags and filter is a snap! The vacuum only weighs 10 lbs. so it's easy to carry and has a handy shoulder strap. It could be a little quieter but it's not any worse than the vacuum I use in my home.
I recommend the commercial (red) version over the residential (yellow). For $40 more you get a larger motor and better hose and tools. The residential model seems to heat up a lot more than the commercial model probably due to the smaller motor. But you pay for that in weight, 10 lbs versus 8 lbs. The residential model's hose is a joke! It is so lightweight that it bends and crimps all the time. Also the residential model does not come with a shoulder strap.
We've used this vacuum on every job from residential cleaning to commercial cleaning to construction clean-up. It has never failed to deliver! I recommend it!
